I tried to reproduce this and was unable to do so. Which vendor did you sell to? Were you able to reproduce the problem at all or was it just the one time?

it was just the once, didn't try to reproduce (didn't have enough currants to try again). i found an orb laying on the ground and picked it up, and sold it to the closest vendor (i think either the gardening one on nw passage or the cooking vendor on burnabee). after i sold it, i noticed that my second orb was gone as well.
