[awaiting response] Unable to plant Egg Plant bean even when underground

I tried to plant an Egg Plant bean in Middle Valley Meadow, underground underneath #21, but was told "this bean only likes to grow underground".

You need to look, specifically, for dark patches of dirt. As in they're called dark patches, as opposed to the normal ones. If you see one next play test and you're still unable to plant one, let me know. Or if you remember trying to plant one specifically in a dark patch, that works too.
