I found an item called a spigot, which is "used to extract gum from the gum tree".

or has someone seen this tree already?

Awesome, nice find! The gum tree will probably be in the encyclopedia (not listed) somewhere, like the paper tree is: alpha.glitch.com/items/600/

hm.. item number 287 .. unless they're recycling item numbers, that would have been created quite a while ago.
